The Montmains is a blend of confit blackberry and fresh sea breeze notes: spicy floral, toasted almond, confit lemon and apple. Energetic and chalky in the mouth, this wine is pure and true.

"A classic Montmains nose combines floral and spice elements with pear and white peach aromas. There is good underlying tension to the attractively detailed middle weight flavors that terminate in a refreshing, clean and dry finale. This is not especially complex but I admire the balance and persistence. I would suggest cellaring this for 3 to 4 years and enjoy as it should be accessible young."

"The 2012 Chablis Montmains has a wonderful transparency to it. Floral notes, honeysuckle, tangerine, spices and mint waft from the glass. In 2012 the Montmains is weightless, gracious and very pretty. There is an exotic side to the Montmains that is especially attractive."
