The Les Baudines is a delicate and elegant wine, expressing soft minerality. In its youth, the wine can be slightly acidic but this acidity is an indication of its cellaring potential.

"This possesses what is perhaps the most elegant wine in the range with its cool aromas of citrus, pear, wet stone and subtle Asian tea nuances. The ultra-refined and equally fresh middle weight flavors display excellent delineation while brimming with the stony character telegraphed by the nose, all wrapped in a saline, clean and very bracing finish. This is a textbook Baudines of finesse that is built on its core of minerality."

"Bright yellow. Musky, moderately ripe aromas of lemon, underripe pineapple, white pepper and wild herbs. Juicy, energetic and youthfully tight, showing good cut and saline minerality to its sharply delineated lemon and pineapple flavors. This is more my style. The yield here was held down by hail, and these vines near the forest also lost some fruit to wild boars."
