Burghound (BH): 91
This is aromatically very pretty with its expansive nose of green apple, pear, citrus peel and floral nuances. There is fine mid-palate concentration that supports the delicious and vibrant middle weight flavors that also possess a refined mouth feel before terminating in a slightly more complex and quite subtly balanced finish. Worth considering.
Antonio Galloni’s Vinous (VIN): 93
The 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers is one of the most complete of these 2011 1er Crus from Niellon. Bright floral notes meld into beautifully chiseled, delineated fruit. The 2011 finishes with excellent tension and energy, as fruit, acidity and minerality all play off each other in this impeccable, harmonious Burgundy.
