Domaine Philippe Colin produced its first vintage in 2004 after Domaine Michel Colin was split between his sons, Bruno and Philippe, in 2003.
Domaine Philippe Colin is located in Chassagne Montrachet and he tends to bottle the wines early in order to retain the fresh and fruity attributes of the wine.
Regarding the 2009 vintage, Philippe stated: " a vintage that gave us elevated maturities in both colors..Moreover, the fruit was super clean, which made it easy to vinify as there was really not much to worry about. Overall, I very much like the style of the whites as they possess good freshness and reasonably good acidities which should allow them to give much pleasure for all of their lives"

"Bright straw-yellow. Ripe aromas of pineapple and flowers. Fat, sweet and expressive, with fruit-driven flavors of ripe pear and pineapple. More stuffing and size here to handle the alcohol (13.7%). Finishes with very good length. This can be enjoyed now or held."
Wine Spectator (WS): 92
"An elegant white, combining a supple texture with peach, ripe apple, grapefruit and spice flavors. Stays bright and lively, with a light, toasty butterscotch accent on the finish."
