The wines of Domaine Roulot are among the most sought after wines in all of Burgundy and for good reason. Jean-Marc Roulot's commitment to producing a bright, chiseled, thoroughbred style of Meursault is different than neighboring domaines who tend towards richness and concentration. The finished product exhibits focus and restraint. Their elegance and amazing precision lend themselves to long aging in the cellars.

"Strong reduction renders the nose unreadable at present. There is a highly refined, even delicate quality to the lacy and intensely mineral-driven flavors that possess ample punch on the saline, linear and gorgeously balanced finish. This is a study in harmony and delicacy. Highly recommended and I very much like this."

"High-pitched, chalk-driven aromas of white flowers and white fruits are pure but reticent, even a bit strict today. Tactile and bracing on the palate, with soil-driven flavors of citrus peel and crushed stone. A very complete, minerally Meursault with terrific intensity and clarity and superb length. Plenty broad and ripe but quite suave, showing a distinctly light touch. This lieu-dit bottling is at the level of a top premier cru in 2011."
