Maison Louis Jadot Pommard 1er Cru "Rugiens" is a robust, masculine wine. Its vigorous, rich fruit, set in a powerfully built structure, is completed by the distinct earthy notes of its ferrous soils and a lasting finish.
This magnificent wine will be a perfect pair with strong and spicy cuisine such as : entrecôte steak in wine, game as well as strong cheeses like Livarot, Epoisses and Pont-l'Evêque. Burghound (BH): 89-92 "Less prominent oak fights less with the very fresh red pinot fruit and stone aromas. There is excellent verve to the well-detailed and soil-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess controlled power on the balanced and impressively long finish.
