Cellar/Tasting Notes
The Corton Grand Cru Les Pougets is a wine of sumptuous brilliance and complexity, powerfully structured and richly fruited. The aromatic Pinot Noir bouquet and deep, layered berry and oak flavours culminate in a seductive, persistent finish.
The red wines will complement roast meat or meat in a highly-seasoned sauce, game and most cheeses. Stephen Tanzer (ST): 91-93 "Medium red. Aromatic nose offers iron, dried flowers and spicy oak. Sappy and dense yet light on its feet, showing exhilarating minerality. A distinctly pretty version of Corton, almost in the style of a Corton-Charlemagne. Most intriguing today on the dry, long, very suave finish, which coats the teeth with dusty tannins and perfumes the mouth with minerals and white pepper. All in subtlety." |
