Vosne-Romanée has 14 Premiers Crus and 7 Grands Crus. The Premier Cru of Les Suchots consists of two contiguous parcels just south of Les Echézeaux. Les Suchots combines the richness of Le Richebourg with the delicacy of Romanée Saint-Vivant, its two neighbors to the south. It is velvety yet refined, with ripe fruit aromas, exotic spices and oak leading to an extended finish. It will develop in the bottle for 12 to 15 years. Serve with game, red meat or strong cheeses. Burghound (BH): 89-92 "This is remarkably similar to the Beaux Monts except that there is a noticeable amount of menthol present. The suave, round and velvety middle weight flavors display an abundance of mouth coating dry extract along with fine complexity and very good if not truly striking length." |
