The Parent family can trace their roots in the wine business back to the 1600's yet it was Claude Parent who established the domaine in 1803. Domaine Parent, centered in Pommard, is now run by Anne and Catherine Parent who took over from their father Jacques.
The 2006 Epenots present with a spicy aroma and a woody tannic structure on the palate, The wine has an amazing balance as well as complexity as it lingers on the finish.

"A more deeply pitched dark berry fruit nose liberally laced with warm earth and underbrush notes is stylishly trimmed in just a bit of wood toast that does not continue onto the rich, full, serious and equally concentrated medium full flavors that possess a textured mouth feel, all wrapped in a chewy but balanced finish that is neither tough nor aggressive. This is worth a look as it's long, serious and dense though patience is required."
