Bachelet produces a wonderful wine that is powerful, fruit filled and exudes finesse and elegance.

Here too there is a touch of wood spice to the compositionally similar if more complex nose. There is excellent underlying tension to the delicious and solidly complex flavors that possess very ripe if firm tannins that impart a slightly chewy texture to the serious but not particularly rustic finish. This is an entirely admirable villages and worth a look.

Good deep red with ruby highlights. Lovely violet lift to the pure aromas of black cherry, blackberry, pepper and spices. Nicely concentrated and expressive, showing a distinctly savory quality to its griotte cherry and licorice flavors. Finishes longer than the Cote de Nuits-Villages, and with more obvious oak tannins too. Built to age.
