Cellar/Tasting Notes
The Les Saint-Julien is a fantastic value for a single vineyard Burgundy. Very distinctive for its violet, black currant and raspberry aromas and flavors. There's good structure underneath, in the form of lively acidity and fine-grained tannins. While the wine has a long life ahead of it, it is decidedly approachable now, as are so many of the well-made 2010s. Burghound (BH): Wine Spectator (WS): 90 "Bright with berry, cherry and spice flavors, this red is elegant, with a firm base of tannins for support. Tar and earth hints arrive on the finish. Drink now through 2018." |
