The Hors d'Age Grande Champagne was established in 1895 by Samuel Beau, the family is one of the oldest cognac distillers in Segonzac, the heart of the Grande Champagne region. He bottled and sold his cognac under his own name, but by 1914, his son Paul had taken over the family business and sold most of their stock to other companies. It wasn't until 1977 that the family once again began to produce cognac under the Beau name, this time naming it after Paul to honor all he had done for the company.
This powerful cognac has been aged in oak for 30 years, resulting in a rich, full bodied spirit with a spicy, complex flavor profile. Assertive aromas of dried fruit, sawdust and vanilla lead to a dry, oaky palate with harmonious notes of pepper, pine and maple syrup. Bright flavors of cinnamon and cedar linger through the gratifying finish.
