Planted to 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, this is quite the uncommon find! This 1.5 ha plot, in the middle of Chateau Haut-Brion's vineyards, is a plot that used to vinified on its own under this label until 1978 when the grapes were purchased by Chateau Haut-Brion in a cropshare agreement. Since 2008, these grapes are reserved again for Michel Allary and blended together for the re-release of Domaine Allary Haut Brion.

"Very dense, with layers of cocoa-covered coffee bean, mulled blackberry, smoldering charcoal and fig paste notes, carried in turn by dense but velvety tannins. The long, tar- and loam-fueled finish thumps some serious bass."
James Suckling (JS): 95
"Very structured, with loads of tannins but then finishes incredibly well. Full and intense. So much going on...Everything is made by hand. Stunning. 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon."
