Bordeaux Wine Futures 2005 & 2006
Our customers often ask us why they should buy Wine-Futures rather than waiting for the wines to arrive in our warehouse. It is a good question deserving of a good answer. There are two principal reasons to buy wines on a futures basis--i.e., in advance of their arrival. The first is that the supply of wine is inherently limited and the more highly rated a wine is the more likely it is to sell out. Buying on a futures basis guarantees that you will get the wines you want. The second reason is a logical extension of the first. As demand rises and supplies dwindle the price must go up. So, buying on a futures basis allows you to obtain desirable wines at the best possible price relative to the market.
