Fine Wine > $0-20 > France > Merlot

Grown in Bordeaux, especially Pomerol as a stand-alone, in the Medoc and Grave to blend, and in California, Washington State, Chile and Italy and other areas. Well made, Merlot wines are rich in plum flavors, smooth and lush. Medium-bodied and soft, though there are many that are well-structured. Perfect for roast lamb and duck. Inexpensive Merlots accompany burgers perfectly.
