In 2011, the blend is 27% Sierra Mar, 25% Rosella’s, 18% Pisoni, 18% Soberanes and 12% Garys’. Adam Lee describes 2011 as the coldest vintage he has ever seen. Nevertheless, the 2011 Pinots are very pretty with dark red cherries, flowers and menthol wrap around the finish.

The colour of the 2011 Clos du Roy is intense. The bouquet is open, reminiscentof wild blackberries,dried prunes and blackcurrent. As the wine matures, musky musky scents will be prominent on the nose. It is quite tannic but also supple.

The Marsannay Clos du Roy will match very well..

Aromas of small red berries with some light cherry sapwood and a delicate nose of oak. This is dynamic and full of minerality due to the stony soil.

Very perfumed, soft and supple, even velvety. The name means raspberry bush and the berry notes come through brightly on the nose and palate. Solid tannic structure and definition.

The 2011 Beaune Rouge Premier Cru is an elegant wine, quite full in body with red and black fruit aromas and spices. It has a mellow texture with good tannins which will help it to mature. It will perfectly accompany delicate meat dishes as well as most cheeses.
