Ausone St Emilion 2007 1.5L
|   WE: 95   |    WA: 94   |

Cellar/Tasting Notes
"While there is certainly plenty of wood here, the wine has weight and impressive concentration for the year. The tannins are still brooding away, giving a dark firm character to the wine. Blackberry fruits and acidity are there, but still well buried in the tannins."

Lafite Rothschild Pauillac 2007 1.5L
|   WE: 94   |    WA: 94   |

Cellar/Tasting Notes
"This is a wine for aging. The tannins are dense, very dry with a feel of extraction. It takes a while for the black currant fruit to show through, with acidity and freshness dominant. The wine is still settling, and time will bring the fruit into line with the tannins."

Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion Graves 1975 1.5L Magnum
|   WA: 97   |

Cellar/Tasting Notes
"This is undisputably the wine of the vintage, a year that was clearly over-exposed and over-rated, largely because it was better than the four vintages that preceded it ... The 1975 La Mission-Haut-Brion, which consistently received perfect scores in its first thirty years of life, remains a..

Cheval Blanc St Emilion 2009 1.5L
|   WA: 99   |    WS: 98   |    JS: 99   |

Cellar/Tasting Notes
"It will be fascinating to follow the evolution of the 2009 Cheval Blanc versus the 2010 as well as the awesome 2005, 2000, 1998 and 1990. This famous estate’s vineyard is situated at the juncture of Pomerol and the sandy, gravelly soils of St.-Emilion, facing the two noble estates of..

Chateau Lafite Rothschild Premier Grand Cru Pauillac 1959 1.5L Magnum
|   WA: 99   |

Cellar/Tasting Notes
"The 1959 is unquestionably the greatest Lafite-Rothschild that has approached full maturity ... The super-aromatic bouquet of flowers, black truffles, cedar, lead pencil, and red fruits is followed by one of the most powerful and concentrated Lafites I have tasted. Medium to full-bodied,..
