Also called Fume Blanc. The famous white wines of Sancerre and Pouilly Fume are Sauvignon Blanc. Grassy, herbal, crisp and citrussy. New Zealand tends towards the citrus-lime style, and California towards the herbal grassy style. A great wine with fish or spicy food.
