Chablis Gilbert Picq 2008 Burgundy 750ml (137525)
|
Cellar/Tasting Notes With yields kept very low, this village level Chablis has the breeding of a premier cru. It is always flinty and minerally, with notes of green apple and grapefruit. This is classic Chablis at its best.

J.J. Vincent Pouilly Fuisse Marie Antoinette 2008 Maconnais 750ml (137487)
|
Cellar/Tasting Notes This Pouilly-Fuisse is grown in several parcels belonging to the two sisters of Jean Jacques Vincent and the wine is named after his mother, Marie-Antoinette Vincent. The stony soils of the Vergisson vineyards give the wine refreshing acidity, elegance and a mineral undertone, while the clay soils in the Fuisse vineyards lend full-bodied structure and a generous fruit character. The wine is vinified in small oak barrels by Jean-Jacques Vincent, owner of the celebrated Chateau Fuisse, who blends the different origins to make a delicious, well-balanced Pouilly-Fuisse.

Chablis Gilbert Picq 2007 Burgundy 750ml (137670) | BH: 91 |
|
Burghound (BH): 91 "Very fresh and bright aromas of grapefruit, white flower, mineral reduction and sea breeze complement
perfectly the notably rich, full and naturally sweet flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration
and superb finishing intensity on the extended finish. This is not an elegant wine but it's beautifully well
balanced and delivers serious punch and length. Again, this delivers stunning quality for its level and is
highly recommended."
