Take in a little history and sample 6 wines from the famous regions of Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Priorat, Rias Baixas, and others.

The California section is a relatively safe stop for consumers in a wine store...their climate is excellent, and some wines are the very best that the US can offer. But what about the other states? Oregon, Washington, New York, and Virginia all have long traditions of winemaking and impeccable quality within their bottles. Don't turn your nose up at this juice...it's on our shelves, so you know it will be excellent!

Australia and New Zealand (CLS030410)
Item Price:  $70.00
Item:

Cellar/Tasting Notes
Of all the wine-producing nations in the world, none exudes a level of vinous energy to rival Australia's. Vineyard acreage doubled from 1996-2000, and wine exports doubled right along with it! In contrast, New Zealand's wines are too often thought to be the same as Australia's. The truth is they have very little in common. The grapes, climate, and soils are very different, and New Zealand's total production is less than 1/10th of its neighbors'. Learn the more intricate details of these two neighboring countries and their wines in this exclusive seminar!! Three wines from each country will be sampled.
